What people run HeyLead for.
Last updated 24 September 2026
One sentence in your chat becomes a draft campaign. Which sentence, and what the agents do with it, depends on the job. These five jobs have a page each: who it is for, the brief to type, the setting HeyLead uses, and what changes.
HeyLead is an AI agent for LinkedIn outreach: it finds the right people, writes to them in the voice of your own LinkedIn posts, follows up, and handles replies. It runs from Claude Code, Cursor, any MCP client or a web dashboard.
Founder-led sales
You shipped something and need the first customers. Describe it; the agents find the buyers, invite them, open the conversation and follow up. Answer the replies yourself if you like.
How it runsYour network
Message the people you are already connected to, one by one, about the thing you are doing now. No invitations, no warm-up: a direct message to each person who fits.
How it runsVendor scouting
You are the buyer. HeyLead finds vendors who serve companies like yours and writes every message from your side, with the questions a vendor must answer before you shortlist them.
How it runsJob search
Reach the hiring manager and the team behind a role. The invitation and the first message name the company and the role. Every reply is held for you; nothing answers on your behalf.
How it runsAgencies
Run outreach for several clients: one workspace per client, editors and viewers, more than one LinkedIn account in one workspace, each with its own invitation ceiling. No white-label.
How it runsWhat is not on this list yet
Recruiting and partner outreach work with a custom brief: the stance exists (campaign_intent='recruit' and campaign_intent='partner'),
but only its system prompt is written, so the invitation, follow-up and reply templates are the selling ones. Say in the brief what you are asking of the person.
Research, customer discovery, design partners, and event or webinar invitations have no intent of their own. Without one the messages come out sales-shaped, so these are not supported use cases today. They are in the backlog, not on this page.
What every job shares
- The campaign is a draft until you press Launch. Nothing is sent before that.
- Opening messages and follow-ups wait for your approval until you switch the workspace to autopilot. Invitations are not held.
- Sending runs from the cloud, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 22:00 in your time zone by default. No LinkedIn call between 22:00 and 08:00.
- Every decision the agents make is readable with
inspector on the campaign page.
HeyLead is not affiliated with LinkedIn. It reaches LinkedIn through Unipile, which is also not affiliated. HeyLead sends at a human pace: at most 20 invitations a day and 100 a week on a free LinkedIn account, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 22:00 in your time zone. LinkedIn's own rules are in the Terms.
