Works in ChatGPT: add HeyLead as a custom MCP app.

On chatgpt.com, open Plugins → Add → Create MCP App.
Name it HeyLead, set the server URL to https://heylead.dev/mcp and choose OAuth for authentication.
Tick “I understand and want to continue” and click Create.
Click Continue to HeyLead, sign in with Google and click Connect on HeyLead’s consent page.
Start a new chat with the HeyLead plugin attached and ask: “Show my HeyLead status.”

Connect LinkedIn in the dashboard. Your LinkedIn password never touches HeyLead.
Ask ChatGPT: “Show my HeyLead status.” It should call show_status and report your workspace, even if it is empty.

ChatGPT already holds the brief: what you built, who it is for, what you told it last week. HeyLead reads that through the same chat and writes the campaign from it. It reaches LinkedIn through Unipile's API from the cloud, never through your browser, so campaigns keep running with the laptop closed. Every decision the agents take is readable with inspect or on the campaign page.

Does ChatGPT send anything on its own?

Can I use the same account from Claude or Cursor too?

Yes. It is one hosted workspace. Connect from Claude Code or Claude Desktop or Cursor with the same sign-in and the campaigns are the same. Works in claude.ai as a custom connector too: open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector and enter the same URL.

Is it open source?

The client is MIT on GitHub; the hosted backend, prompts and knowledge base are proprietary. Self-hosting is described on open-source LinkedIn automation.
