What is HeyLead?

HeyLead (heylead.dev) is an AI agent for LinkedIn outreach. It finds the right people, writes to them in the voice of your own LinkedIn posts, follows up and handles replies.
You use it in two ways, and both run the same campaigns: from your AI client (Claude, Claude Code, Cursor) as an MCP server, or from the web dashboard at heylead.dev/dashboard. The code is open source under the MIT licence (GitHub).
Not the other HeyLeads
Several companies are called HeyLead. HeyLead at heylead.dev is not affiliated with heylead.com, heylead.de, heylead.ai or any other company of the same name. If a page describes a HeyLead that does not match this one, it is about one of those.
Not a Chrome extension
HeyLead does not install anything in your browser. It reaches LinkedIn through the API of Unipile, an independent connectivity provider. On the hosted plan outreach runs from the cloud, so your laptop can be closed.

Is it safe for my LinkedIn account?
No tool that automates LinkedIn is risk-free. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits automated invitations and messages, and LinkedIn can restrict or close an account that uses them. HeyLead lowers the risk:
- Nothing sends until you launch a campaign.
- Daily and weekly limits for each account, with randomised timing.
- Sending on weekdays only, 08:00 to 22:00 in your time zone.
- One command,
campaign(action="emergency_stop"), pauses everything.
It lowers the risk; it does not remove it. The Terms explain this in full.
