LinkedIn profile view signal outreach

Last updated 17 October 2026

When you plan your LinkedIn profile view signal outreach, HeyLead helps you act on recent page visits. HeyLead is an AI agent for LinkedIn outreach: it finds the right people, writes to them in the voice of your own LinkedIn posts, follows up, and handles replies. It runs from Claude Code, Cursor, any MCP client or a web dashboard.

What the profile view signal is

A profile view means a person viewed your LinkedIn profile. This action comes from a person's own activity on LinkedIn. The event is attached to one person. It expires after 3 days. The profile view signal is written in HeyLead as profile view.

HeyLead watches 40+ signal types, scored, matched to your ICP and expiring. The profile view signal has a weight of 0.5 in HeyLead. Scores run from -0.30 to 0.90. A negative score lowers priority. When several signals name one person, this signal has a priority rank of 20. A lower number wins.

Why this signal matters for your campaign

A strong signal starts outreach and the opener says why now. This specific event raises priority but does not write the note. It tells you someone showed interest in your page recently.

HeyLead finds this signal because it re-reads the profiles and posts of people in your campaigns and searches LinkedIn for your keywords. Before an invitation, HeyLead warms up: a profile view, a follow, a comment on a recent post. You can use this data to time your messages.

What to write or do

When you reach out after a profile view, open with what they did. Mention the post, the move, or the comment in a sentence about it. Then ask one question they can answer in writing. Include no pitch in the first message.

HeyLead drafts an invitation with a note, an opening message, up to 2 follow-ups on Free and 5 on Pro, InMail and email fallback. Opening messages, follow-ups and answers to replies wait for your approval until you switch to autopilot. Invitations, not-now check-ins and meeting nudges are not held.

The brief to type into HeyLead

You type a one-sentence brief in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or the HeyLead dashboard. One sentence creates a draft campaign. You review it and press Launch. Nothing is sent before you press Launch.

You can set one of six campaign goals: sell a product or service, find a job, hire people, find partners or investors, find a vendor, research interviews. Hire people, find partners or investors and research interviews work with a custom brief. HeyLead reads your own LinkedIn posts to learn your voice and never posts unless you ask for a post.

It works in Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop and claude.ai, any MCP client and a web dashboard. You can also use it in ChatGPT as a custom MCP app. This is tested on ChatGPT Pro. Custom apps depend on your ChatGPT plan and settings.

Limits and workflow details

Replies are read, classified and answered from the campaign's facts. Anything ambiguous is held for you. A "not now" reply gets a check-in in 30 days. The system runs from the cloud with your laptop closed.

Free costs $0 for one connected account with 2 follow-ups. Pro costs $29 a month per connected account. HubSpot is the CRM it syncs with. Google Calendar is the calendar it books into. The client's source is on GitHub under MIT. The hosted backend is not.

It backs off when LinkedIn pushes back and resumes on its own. You can pause any campaign at any time.
