How to use the LinkedIn company post reaction signal

Last updated 26 October 2026

You can use the LinkedIn company post reaction signal to start outreach with HeyLead. This page explains what the signal means, how it is detected, and what to write.

What the company post reaction signal is

The company post reaction signal means a person reacted to your company page's post. HeyLead is an AI agent for LinkedIn outreach: it finds the right people, writes to them in the voice of your own LinkedIn posts, follows up, and handles replies. It runs from Claude Code, Cursor, any MCP client or a web dashboard.

This signal is attached to 1 person. It expires after 7 days. HeyLead watches 40+ signal types, scored, matched to your ICP and expiring. A strong signal starts outreach and the opener says why now.

How HeyLead detects this signal

HeyLead reads the company's LinkedIn page. It looks at its posts, the reactions and comments on them, and its followers. The source is a company's page or hiring on LinkedIn.

The company post reaction signal has a weight of 0.4 in HeyLead's score. Scores run from -0.30 to 0.90. A negative score lowers priority. This signal raises priority but does not write the invite note.

What to write to a person who reacted

You must write to a person at the company, never to the company. Name the company event in line 1. Ask how it changes the person's own work.

Before an invitation, HeyLead warms up with a profile view, a follow, and a comment on a recent post. It sends an invitation with a note, an opening message, up to 2 follow-ups on Free and 5 on Pro, and uses InMail and email fallback.

Opening messages, follow-ups and answers to replies wait for your approval until you switch to autopilot. Invitations, not-now check-ins and meeting nudges are not held. Replies are read, classified and answered from the campaign's facts. Anything ambiguous is held for you. A "not now" reply gets a check-in in 30 days.

How to start a campaign

You type a 1-sentence brief in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or the HeyLead dashboard. 1 sentence creates a draft campaign. Nothing is sent until you press Launch.

HeyLead reads your own LinkedIn posts to learn your voice and never posts unless you ask for a post. It runs from the cloud with your laptop closed. The client's source is on GitHub under MIT. The hosted backend is not.

HeyLead supports 6 campaign goals. You can sell a product or service, find a job, hire people, find partners or investors, find a vendor, or research interviews. You need a custom brief to hire people, find partners or investors, and research interviews.

It works in Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop and claude.ai, any MCP client and a web dashboard. It works in ChatGPT as a custom MCP app. This is tested on ChatGPT Pro. Custom apps depend on your ChatGPT plan and settings.
