How to reach chief strategy officers on LinkedIn

Last updated 17 October 2026

When you plan how to reach chief strategy officers on LinkedIn, HeyLead helps you connect with the right executives.

Understanding the chief strategy officer

HeyLead is an AI agent for LinkedIn outreach: it finds the right people, writes to them in the voice of your own LinkedIn posts, follows up, and handles replies. It runs from Claude Code, Cursor, any MCP client or a web dashboard.

Chief strategy officers face specific pains in their daily work. They worry about the execution gap between planning and reality. They struggle with misaligned initiatives across different departments. You must address these issues directly in your messages.

They are measured on OKR attainment for the year. They also track time to impact for new projects. Your message should show how your product improves these exact metrics.

Source: HeyLead's own outreach, the invitations HeyLead sent from its own team's workspaces, 10 March 2026 to 17 September 2026, each at least 30 days old, read 17 October 2026. Each person is counted once. Accepted means the person accepted the invitation; replied is a share of those who accepted. Seniority is read from the person's job title. Rows with fewer than 30 people are not shown. Nobody is named.

Finding the right moment to connect

Timing matters when you contact a chief strategy officer. Look for specific triggers worth writing about in your notes. A strategy refresh is a strong reason to reach out. A reorg also creates new needs for your services.

You can spot profile cues on their LinkedIn page. Look for mentions of an annual plan. A strategic alignment thread is another good sign to start a conversation. Company cues also indicate a good time to connect. Watch for a portfolio realignment or an OKR reset at their firm.

HeyLead watches 40+ signal types, scored, matched to your ICP and expiring. A strong signal starts outreach and the opener says why now.

Creating your campaign brief

You type a one-sentence brief in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or the HeyLead dashboard. HeyLead drafts the campaign based on your input. You review it and press Launch. Nothing is sent before you take this step.

Your campaign goal is to sell a product or service to the company. HeyLead looks for specific roles in the buying process. It identifies the economic_buyer, champion, influencer, user, or none.

You can run this setup in Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop and claude.ai, any MCP client and a web dashboard. It also works in ChatGPT as a custom MCP app. We tested this on ChatGPT Pro. Custom apps depend on your ChatGPT plan and settings.

Managing the outreach sequence

Before an invitation, HeyLead warms up the prospect. It does a profile view, a follow, and a comment on a recent post. The sequence includes an invitation with a note and an opening message. You get up to 2 follow-ups on Free and 5 on Pro. It includes InMail and email fallback if they do not connect.

Replies are read, classified and answered from the campaign's facts. Anything ambiguous is held for you to read. A reply of not now gets a check-in in 30 days.

Opening messages, follow-ups and answers to replies wait for your approval until you switch to autopilot. Invitations, not-now check-ins and meeting nudges are not held.

HeyLead reads your own LinkedIn posts to learn your voice and never posts unless you ask for a post. It runs from the cloud with your laptop closed so you can focus on other tasks.
