A job search on LinkedIn, run by HeyLead: it finds the hiring manager and the team behind a role, writes the invitation and the first message in the voice of your own LinkedIn posts, and stops there. Every reply is held for you. Nothing answers, books or negotiates on your behalf.

## Who this is for

Someone who has applied, or is about to, and knows the application form is not where the decision is made. You want the hiring manager, the people on that team and the recruiter to have heard of you before the shortlist. You also want to be the one who writes back, because it is your career.

## The brief to type

Name the company and the role. Name what you want the first message to carry, if you have a preference. A worked example:

## The setting it uses

`create_campaign(campaign_type='job_search')`. The default family is `outbound`; `job_search` swaps the first touch:

- The invitation note and the first message may name the recipient's company and the role. The selling invitation is a curiosity opener with no company names.
- One credible proof point at most. The message never lists a CV.
- InMail is not routed by this switch. `campaign_intent` still selects the system prompt.
- Pair it with `connections_only='on'` to write to people you are already connected to, with no invitation.

## What the agents do differently

A job-search campaign is recognised everywhere a reply could be acted on, and the answer is the same in each place: hold it for you.

- The reply tool returns `Held for operator: job-search campaign. No reply will be sent.` and generates nothing; the scheduler counts that as the correct outcome, not a failure.
- No automatic booking and no calendar invitation, whatever the reply says.
- The inbound lane does not enrol a job-search contact anywhere else, and a referral from one is not turned into new outreach.
- Read the replies with `check_replies` or the campaign page and answer with `send_message(action='reply')`, in your own words.

## Limits

- No numbers on this page. The founder's published cohort is a selling campaign; nothing has been measured for a job search yet.
- Invitation ceilings belong to your LinkedIn plan: 20 a day and 100 a week on a free account. The table is on the [pricing page](https://heylead.dev/pricing).
- Recruiting, the other side of this table, works with a custom brief: its stance exists but its templates fall back to the selling ones. Partner outreach also works with a custom brief. Research and event invitations have no intent yet.
