# How to use the prospect post signal for partnerships

Last updated 26 October 2026

When you want to find partners or investors, HeyLead helps you use the LinkedIn prospect post signal to reach the people who can sign a partnership.

## What the prospect post signal is

HeyLead is an AI agent for LinkedIn outreach: it finds the right people, writes to them in the voice of your own LinkedIn posts, follows up, and handles replies. It runs from Claude Code, Cursor, any MCP client or a web dashboard.

A prospect post is a signal that shows what a potential partner or investor is planning. When a person writes a post about their current projects or future goals, they reveal what they look for in a partnership.

HeyLead watches 40+ signal types, scored, matched to your ICP and expiring. A strong signal starts outreach and the opener says why now. It reads your own LinkedIn posts to learn your voice and never posts unless you ask for a post.

## Why this signal matters for partnerships

The campaign goal is to find partners or investors. You need to reach the people who can sign a partnership or an investment. A post about their plans gives you a direct angle to start a conversation.

You can tie your offer to the plan they described in their post. HeyLead asks a fit question to ensure accuracy: Can this audience sign a partnership? This ensures you focus on the right people.

It runs from the cloud with your laptop closed.

## What to write or do

Campaigns with the goal to find partners or investors work with a custom brief. You must say what you ask of the person.

Before an invitation, HeyLead warms up: a profile view, a follow, a comment on a recent post. It then sends an invitation with a note, an opening message, up to 2 follow-ups on Free and 5 on Pro, InMail and email fallback.

Opening messages, follow-ups and answers to replies wait for your approval until you switch to autopilot. Invitations, not-now check-ins and meeting nudges are not held.

Replies are read, classified and answered from the campaign's facts. Anything ambiguous is held for you. A "not now" reply gets a check-in in 30 days.

- Read the prospect's post to understand their plans.
- Tie your partnership offer directly to what they wrote.
- State clearly what you ask of the person.

## The brief to type into HeyLead

You type a one-sentence brief in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or the HeyLead dashboard. HeyLead drafts the campaign. You review it and press Launch.

One sentence creates a draft campaign. Nothing is sent until you press Launch.

It works in Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop and claude.ai, any MCP client and a web dashboard. It also works in ChatGPT as a custom MCP app. This was tested on ChatGPT Pro. Custom apps depend on your ChatGPT plan and settings.

1. Open your MCP client, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or the HeyLead dashboard.
2. Type your one-sentence brief stating your partnership ask.
3. Review the drafted campaign.
4. Press Launch to start.
