# LinkedIn outreach to manufacturing companies

Last updated 22 October 2026

To do LinkedIn lead generation for manufacturing companies, you need the right buyers and signals, and HeyLead can run the campaign for you.

## What it is

HeyLead is an AI agent for LinkedIn outreach: it finds the right people, writes to them in the voice of your own LinkedIn posts, follows up, and handles replies. It runs from Claude Code, Cursor, any MCP client or a web dashboard.

Manufacturing buyers care about output, downtime, lead times, suppliers, quality, margin per unit, shifts, and tooling.

COOs and heads of operations own the plant, the output and the downtime. They change nothing that risks stopping production lines.

CFOs judge spend by payback and by what it does to margin per unit.

CTOs own the systems on the floor and the data that comes off the machines.

Chief strategy officers plan new markets, new products and where the next plant goes.

There are 6 campaign goals. You can sell products or services, find jobs, hire people, find partners or investors, find vendors, or research interviews.

Hire people, find partners or investors and research interviews work with custom briefs.

## Why it matters

You need to reach the right people at the right time.

HeyLead watches 40+ signal types, scored, matched to your ICP and expiring.

Strong signals start outreach and the opener says why now.

New plants or production lines are the news expansion signal. New lines need people, suppliers and customers. You ask which is the bottleneck.

Product launches are the news product launch signal. You name the product and ask who they are selling it to first.

Posts about supply or quality problems are the post pain point signal. You pick up the problem in their own words and ask how they are working around it.

New operations leaders are the news exec hire signal. New leaders review suppliers early. You ask what they plan to look at first.

## What to write or do

Leave software words off the shop floor.

Talk about output and downtime.

Do not ask for calls during launches or shutdowns.

Do not make claims you cannot tie to lines or products.

Skip workshops with no production line.

Skip contract manufacturers you compete with.

Before invitations, HeyLead warms up. It does 1 profile view, 1 follow, and 1 comment on recent posts.

Invitations include notes and opening messages. You get up to 2 follow-ups on Free and 5 on Pro. It includes InMail and email fallback.

Replies are read, classified and answered from the campaign facts.

Anything ambiguous is held for you.

Not now gets check-ins in 30 days.

## The brief to type into HeyLead

You type 1-sentence briefs in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or the HeyLead dashboard.

1 sentence creates a draft campaign.

Nothing is sent until you press Launch.

It works in Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop and claude.ai, any MCP client and web dashboards.

It works in ChatGPT as custom MCP apps.

This is tested on ChatGPT Pro.

Custom apps depend on your ChatGPT plan and settings.

HeyLead drafts the campaign.

You review it and press Launch.

Nothing is sent before.

Use these ICP fields for the brief. Set industries to manufacturing.

Exclude software.

Set seniority to cxo, vp, director, manager.

Set company size to 201-500, 501-1000, 1001-5000 employees.

It reads your own LinkedIn posts to learn your voice. It never posts unless you ask for posts.

Opening messages, follow-ups and answers to replies wait for your approval until you switch to autopilot.

Invitations, not-now check-ins and meeting nudges are not held.

It runs from the cloud with your laptop closed.
